NECKLINES AND BUSTLINE ......
It does not seem that a neckline would make too much difference in the overall look of a dress, but you must look at this as the frame for your face and it also sets the tone for the bust line and how you would like that to be viewed. Here are some common necklines and the general effect they have on the crossdresser body. Please keep in mind that there are always exceptions to every rule and that these are just general guidelines.

V-NECK ......
A V-NECK is open in a V and can have added detail like a collar or lace attached. Depending on how deep the V goes will determine how much skin and cleavage you show. Now if you cannot shave a hairy chest you do not want to choose a deep V-neckline, but if you can it will add length to the neck and break up the wideness of your chest making it appear smaller. It will also make your breast enhancements look much more natural as the eye is drawn to the skin rather than the actual breast. Too short of a V-neck will have a less flattering effect giving width to your chest and making your breasts look too low on the body. A super low V will add length to your overall shape giving you a much leaner look..I always suggest unbuttoning a blouse or sweater just to the top of your bra.

SCOOP-NECK ......
A SCOOP-NECK is a rounded neckline that scoops down onto the bust. Once again you must choose how much cleavage you want to show. A scoop neck will make your bust line look fuller and rounder which is very appealing in tight sweaters and tight bodice dresses.

TURTLE-NECK ......
TURTLE NECKS have such a bad name, when in fact they can be very sexy. Everyone thinks Big Woolly Sweater when associating the turtle neck to fashion. Actually it can play an important role in thinning out a manly neck and covering the Adams Apple. A turtleneck is perfect when in combination with any short to long tight clingy dress, and help in giving it a long lithe look.It also works well with full skirted dresses that are cinched at the waist giving you a great all bust and hip look..Make sure to belt the waist..and remember that a turtle neck with a baggy dress is just going to look like you have got something to hide under there..Make the turtle neck work for you.

COWL-NECK ......
COWL NECK or Draping necklines can either make a dress look fabulous or dumpy depending on the dress. A cowl generally looks best on a form fitting dress adding Va-Voom appeal to your bust line. Look for a full cowl, one that is too small or too high Will make your chest look huge and like your bosom is just hanging below. Other than on a soft knit dress a cowl should be in a soft draping material to not look overwhelming. Also look for low drapes that show off your back..What a great evening look.

HALTER ......
HALTER- There is a myth that wearing a halter style dress will make your shoulders look wide when in fact the opposite is true. Wearing a halter draws the eye away from the shoulders and thus the illusion of smaller shoulders. The exeption to this is when the neck muscles are enlarged from working out with weights etc. There is a whole section coming on shoulders so you if you have a problem understanding shouders please read that section. The Halter style neckline is very flattering on form fitting dresses and tops. There are many kind of halter styles from v neck tie halters to turtleneck halters..

BUSTLINE ......
The Bustline is going to be greatly effected by the type of neckline you choose, As you can see from some of the pictures different necklines will either draw attention or detract from your bust. If you want to show off your ample bosoms go for a low V-neck.. add a crossover style to add even more effect! If you want to detract pick something that draws attention more to the shoulder of the garment. It is not neccesary to wear a size quadruple D enhancement to get a feminine shape. Choose an enhancement that fits the rest of your body.

This is just a general range of necklines common to most styles of dress..There are so many variations to each of the necklines..but if you follow the general rules you will most often get the results you desire.
